Side plates protect the flanks — the areas not covered by your front and back plates — and fit into the side plate pockets of a cummerbund-equipped carrier. Adding side plates to your setup closes the coverage gap between your front and back panels, extending ballistic protection to the ribs, liver, spleen, and lateral torso.

ArmorLite USA carries side plates from HighCom Armor and Hoplite at Level IV and special threat ratings. Before ordering side plates, verify that your carrier's cummerbund includes side plate pockets and confirm the pocket dimensions against the plate size you are selecting. Not all cummerbunds support side armor, and plate dimensions vary by model.
